Summer Fun
We have been loving the sunshine this month. Here are some of the fun activities we enjoyed as our year in junior and senior infants comes to an end...
Busy Bees
Here we are hard at work in infants! We are working on number and pattern in maths. We are really enjoying our drumming lessons and we are also loving trying out new fruits and vegetables with the food dudes.
In History we were learning about old and new toys. We brought in some toys from home for show and tell and seperated them into old and new. It was lovely to see all our friends' toys.
We read the story Commotion in the Ocean. Then we made jellyfish in art. We also iced buns and put sea creatures on top of the icing. We loved finding the jellyfish!
Michaela brought in her pet hedgehog Holly to meet us. She was so cute and we were so surprised by how soft her spikes are when she's not afraid.
We had some 5th class in our classroom last week. They helped us with our art and our numeracy games.
We learned lots of facts about hedgehogs. Michaela came to our classroom and told us about her pet hedgehog Holly. Then we made some clay and handprint hedgehogs.
After all that hard work we deserved a rest in the sensory room!
Junior & Senior Infants
Junior and Senior Infants have settled in really well to the new school year.
Here are some photos of us making rice krispie buns, playing outside together, working on some of our maths stations and enjoying some PE in the sun.
